The event started with a short speech by Mr. Vassiloff, representing the EU Representation in Cyprus, followed by an introduction to the ‘DART4City’ project, a detailed analysis of the methodology and its added value for educators, and the presentation of two scenarios developed according to the methodology.

After a short break, which allowed teachers to discuss the methodology and the scenarios, a panel of experienced teachers, academics and policy makers discussed the role of individual services, programmes, school implementations concerning various aspects of STEAM, including the gender gap that still exists and prevents more girls from following through with subject-specific studies.

The event concluded with a discussion with the participants, including a teacher from a STEM school, one of 5 government (experimental) institutions focusing on an enhanced curriculum to promote greater engagement with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
