From 28 to 30 September 2022, the Italian community of Scientix organized the third edition of the Scientix Italia Conference online, an event dedicated to schools during which projects and good practices related to the various sectors of science were presented to teachers, by other teachers.
From bioeconomy to educational robotics, from artificial intelligence to STEM for artistic expression, from coding to gamification, to learn science through play and motivate students to study scientific disciplines.
On the day dedicated to the innovation of the Italian scientific curriculum, the project “Motion Pictures” was also presented, created by Professor Cristina De Negri from “Giovanni Pascoli” primary school in Vittorio Veneto in collaboration with Alterevo Società Benefit within DArt4City Erasmus+.
The activity proposes, through the interdisciplinarity of STEAM subjects, a path of citizenship on cinematographic and audiovisual language. The work analyzes the audiovisual language, its history, its rules, and its functioning connected to the mechanism of vision of the human eye. Starting from the reading of picture books, pre-cinema machines are built (flipbook, cine-reel, thaumatrope, zoetrope) operating both manually and with the use of robotic kits.
